Equipment Guide for ME Priests

In line with this, I now present you the Equipment Guide for Magnus Exorcismus (ME) Priests.

Okay, a short introduction follows.

Magnus Exorcismus Priests strive to max their MATK — this is because Magnus Exorcismus damage is MATK-based — and decrease their cast time as much as possible. Ideally, they invest their stat points on pure DEX and INT with DEX a higher priority; this is because DEX reduces the incredibly long cast time (15 seconds) that Magnus Exorcismus has. Mathematically, every 10 DEX reduces 1 second of ME casting. Some even achieve to have as much as 150 DEX, which equals instant casting — you could watch the video clip on The Priest Guide that demonstrates exactly how cool insta-casting is. And this equipment guide will help you to do that and, with the help of your Lex Aeterna, maximize your ME damage.

The equipments are somewhat similar to the Wizards’ however armour and cards would focus more on DEX and Demon- and Undead-damage-taken redution.

And again, upgrade your armour to at least +4.

Headgear (UP): Balloon Hat [1] {of Caster} (3 DEF, 2 MDEF, +2% MATK, +1% MATK per Upgrade)

* This headgear is unique to pRO. 

* This is a headgear that would benefit from a +10 upgrade. So invest in one. Anything higher than +4 would be way more expensive though.

        Kathryne Keyron Card: -1% Cast Time per Headgear Upgrade, if Headgear Upgrade ≥ 9, then +2% MATK

Headgear (MID): Black Frame Glasses (1 DEF, 2 MDEF, +1 INT)

* This headgear is unique to pRO.

                                         -OR-

                           Robo Eye (2 DEF, +2% ATK, +2% MATK, +1 DEX)

* Use this if you have the money. It’s way too expensive for me in both Zeny and ROK. And I don’t really like the fact that the +2% ATK goes to waste but, again, if you have the money, go for it.

Headgear (BOTTOM): Ninja Scroll (+1% MATK)

Robe: {Angelic} Heavenly Maiden Robe [1] (3 DEF)

* Heavenly Maiden Robes could only be worn by Lvl 80+ characters; although it has 1 more DEF than the common Muffler, it would be more practical to card it on a Muffler since Mufflers have no level requirements and +1 DEF doesn’t really make much significance.

        Orc Zombie Card:  5 FLEE, -30% damage from Undead-element monsters

        * Orc Zombie Card reduces 30% damage from all kinds of attacks from Undead-element monsters.

Armour: {Hard} Holy Robe [1] (7 DEF, 5 MDEF, -15% damage from Demon monsters, -10% damage from Shadow monsters)

* The slotted Holy Robe is quite hard to get since no monster drops it, and it can only be obtained from socket enchantment. Expect it to be extremely rare and expensive (≈25,000,000).

        Pupa Card: +700 HP

[Set: Holy Stick [1] + Exorcism Bible]

+20% Magnus Exorcismus damage, 5% chance to cast Turn Undead Lvl1 when receiving damage

Weapon: {Dexterous} {Vital} Holy Stick [1] {of Ignoring} (50 ATK, +15% MATK)

        Drops Card: 3 HIT, +1 DEX

                            -OR-

        Fabre Card: +100 HP, +1 VIT

                            -OR-

      Necromancer Card: If weapon is rod type, then +1 INT, -2% enemy MDEF

Shield: Exorcism Bible (5 DEF, +1 INT, +3% HP & SP Recovery)

Shoes: {Soul-Enchanted} High Fashion Sandals [1] {of Witch} (2 DEF, 10 MDEF)

        Sohee Card: +15% SP, 8% SP Recovery

                            -OR-

        Eggyra Card: +15% SP Recovery

Accessory:

[Set: Spiritual Ring + Rosary [1]]

+9% SP Recovery, +30% Magnus Exorcismus damage, +50% Heal and Sanctuary damage to the Undead

        Spiritual Ring (+2 INT, +1 DEX)

* Spiritual Rings would cost 3,000,000z to 8,000,000z. Yeah, it’s expensive but compared to last years’ prices, this is actually cheaper — last year, Spiritual Rings cost around 12,000,000z.

        {Nimble} Rosary [1] (3 MDEF, +1 LUK)

                 Zerom Card: +3 DEX
